Shawn and Rachel
Shawn and Rachel are just starting their lives, they live in California and are both still trying to find themselves. Rachel is a college graduate, and currently works as a soccer coach for a women's soccer team. Shawn is currently representing an insurance agency while attending college. He got a late start at college because he decided to serve his country first. That decision gave him more money for college than we could have provided had he stayed at home and started school, and during that time we decided to move across the country which would have disturbed Shawn's school, if he would have decided to move with us, because by then he may have already met Rachel. But no one knows how life would have ended if he had taken that fork in the road that sent him to college instead of joining the Army and going off to war. He met Rachel, or at least really met her after being a solder for awhile. We are proud of Shawn no matter which fork he decided to take, and we love Rachel as much as if she were our own daughter. We hope life takes you places we never got the opportunity to go, and allows you to see things most people don't get to see. |

Praise and Thanksgiving!!
We are rejoicing and thanking our amazing God for bringing our
wonderful Son-in-law, Shawn, home last Sunday Night!!! There
was a wonderful group of retired veterans that showed up with
their flags and patriotism at 11:00 at night to welcome our
soldier, and others home!! I'm sorry the pictures are
blurry---- but they and we cheered as each service man came down
the stairs from the gate! Rachel was thrilled to be united with
her husband!! |

Iraq and the Planets of Starship Troopers The same place?
The pictures below were taken in Iraq during this tour. The orange color in the picture on the upper right is dust, probably from ground up scud missiles. He says you have to breath some if it, you can't stop breathing. Looks like they are on Mars.

Rachel McCann Graduated from
California State University Sacramento on Friday, May 23rd 2008.
The Commencement Exercise was held at Arco Arena, in Sacramento.
She Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication,
with emphasis on Interpersonal Communication. Way to go Rachel!
